Dear Quilters,
What appears to you when you close your eyes and think of our beautiful, varied state?
What memories do you recall that especially show the vibrancy we all enjoy as we live in "paradise"?
Our Guild is sponsoring a Quilters' Challenge for our Guild Show January 11 and 12, 2008 at the Lee County Civic Center, Fort Myers, Florida. We are inviting all quilters to participate and enter the "Vibrant Visions of Florida" Challenge. With so many different areas in this state, all the different quilt shops and so many wonderful, creative quilters, we look forward to a great variety of interpretations of the theme.
The chosen colors will be interpreted in fabric by each of the participating quilt shops, list enclosed. The entire Challenge Rules sheet is included here for further information.
Challenge quilt will be judged by Madeline Hawley an NQA certified judge who will award the following prizes:
First Place-$200 check sponsored by S.E.W. Studio of Naples, Fl
Second Place-$150 Check sponsored by Susie Q’s Quilts of North Fort Myers, Fl
Third Place-$75 Gift Certificate sponsored by Quilt Lovers’ Hangout of North Fort Myers, Fl
Winners will be notified no later than Thursday, January 10, 2008.
We hope the Quilters' Challenge will bring you and your entry to the Guild Show in 2008. The Lee Civic Center has proven to be a great venue, since there is a large display area for the Challenge and hundreds of full-size quilts. Parking is easily accessible also.
